The Advanced Painting II course emphasizes two dimensional exploration designed to build on the experience of the first year art course. Students will be given painting coursework that requires more complex critical thinking and problem solving skills. In depth Color Theory study, a variety of painting media, techniques and skills along with expanded historical aspects of painting will be covered.
The Advanced Painting III course allows for the student to become self directed while continuing to master new techinques at an advanced skill level.

CLASS ROOM INFORMATION
- MAJOR PROJECTS:2-3 extensive artworks per 9 week grading period that students work on for several weeks. The goal of these projects is to display a culmination of each student's individual "vision".
- HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS: 3-4 drawings/photos/research per 9 week grading period that students are given one week to complete outside of class. The goal of these assignments is to enhance the information & techniques learned in class.
